MARQUES DE RISCAL

MARQUES DE RISCAL was always a leader among wine producers in Spain. Even in 1858 it was the first in Rioja, producing wines by Bordeaux method. In 1858, Guillermo Hurtado de Amesagi, Marquis de Riscal, diplomat and journalist, a resident of Bordeaux since 1836 and owner of vineyards, hired a French wine expert to train local producers of Spanish wine techniques of winemaking used in the Medoc.

    Wine has an intense, deep cherry-black color. The wine has an expressive aroma with notes of licorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with subtle nuances of aging in oak barrels and fruity notes. The taste of wine is fresh, easy drinking, with an excellent structure, polished tannins and a long, persistent finish with balsamic nuances.

    The wine has dark red color with a light copper tint. Tart and spicy aroma of the wine shows shades of dark berries, tobacco, toasted oak, licorice and chocolate. The classic taste of the wine is filled with spicy peppery tones and sweet notes of cocoa. Excellent balance, rounded tannins, long finish.

    The wine has dark cherry color with brick-red tint. The aroma of wine is complex with balsamic notes, spicy notes of black pepper and cinnamon. Taste of wine is oily with good structure and hints of oak. The finish is long, velvety.

    Wine has elegant dark ruby color with purple highlights. Intense aromas of red berries decorate notes of wood, vanilla and coconut. Wine is characterized by persistent, juicy, surround taste with pronounced fruity tones and soft tannins. In a harmonious aftertaste are caught tones of ripe cherries and spice nuances.

Elegant wine with soft structure differs with fresh, complex, rich and flexible taste with velvety tannins. Well-balanced long aftertaste is filled with nuances of toasted oak and spices.
